Barns
The backstretch will feature six barns providing over 900 stalls that will accommodate the needs of all horse breeds, particularly thoroughbred and standardbred horses. In addition, the Master Plan provides for the expansion potential of one additional barn.
Each barn will feature:
- 12’ x 10’ stalls and wash racks,
- tack and feed rooms,
- storage rooms,
- men’s and women’s restrooms,
- laundry rooms,
- wiring for TV, phone, cable, and
- surveillance.
Barns will be well lit and, of primary importance, have been engineered for summer/winter fresh air ventilation. Interior aisles have been sized to ease traffic flow for horses, and support for an overhead pulley system will allow for the ease of harnessing the standardbred horses
Barn VI, features a second level driver’s quarters including a lounge, concession, men’s and women’s lockers, showers and restrooms, and laundry facilities. |
